CANeasy · By developers, for developers

Simulate, analyze, test and diagnose vehicle networks—with one tool.

A Windows-based engineering environment for real and simulated ECUs across CAN, CAN FD, LIN and Automotive Ethernet. Integrate with existing toolchains, automate recurring work and keep using compatible hardware and project assets.

One environment across the workflow

Move from network behavior to engineering evidence faster.

CANeasy connects real and simulated ECUs according to the communication matrix. Engineers can build residual-bus simulations, observe traffic, automate tests and perform diagnostic work without switching between disconnected applications.

Fast project setup Automated panels, drag-and-drop workflows and common database formats
Open extensibility Plug-ins, VBA/VSTA, MultiStudio and an external API
Reusable engineering assets Import supported CANoe configurations, panels, CAPL and trace files
Flexible deployment Basic, Standard, Professional and RichPanel Runtime editions
S

Simulation

Import DBC, ARXML and LDF communication matrices and simulate missing ECUs for residual-bus development.

A

Analysis

Record and replay traffic, inspect traces and plots, and work with triggers, alarms, bus load and cycle times.

T

Test

Build repeatable sequences with schedulers, macro recording, programmable nodes and external test-framework integration.

D

Diagnosis

Use UDS, DoIP, OBD2 and XCP/CCP with diagnostic databases, fault memory views and ECU-variable access.

A strong hardware-independent approach

Use the bus adapters you already own.

CANeasy supports interfaces from established automotive and embedded hardware vendors. Teams can select the adapter that fits the bench, vehicle or lab instead of being locked to one proprietary interface family.

Protect existing investments in interfaces, cabling and bench setups.
Mix supported adapters across projects and engineering locations.
Use Vector VN1630A and other compatible interfaces where the required channels and drivers are supported.
Discuss less common or project-specific adapters during evaluation.

CANeasy is engineering software; hardware interfaces are sourced separately from their respective manufacturers.

A guided start for new users

Get from installation to a working project quickly.

CANeasy brings traces, databases, signals, panels and project structure into one workspace. Guided first steps help engineers understand the interface and begin exercising real or simulated ECUs without an extended setup cycle.

Connect: select a supported hardware interface or virtual bus.
Import: bring in communication databases, traces or existing project assets.
Observe: inspect messages, signals, plots and diagnostic values.
Exercise: transmit, simulate, automate and validate network behavior.

Preserve valuable engineering work

Introduce CANeasy without discarding proven project assets.

CANeasy can fit into heterogeneous environments and reuse supported configurations, panels, scripts and recordings created around Vector workflows.

Import configurations: bring supported CANoe configuration content into the CANeasy workspace.
Reuse panels: continue using CANoe panels where supported.
Carry forward CAPL: convert CAPL nodes into CANeasy plug-ins and execute supported CAPL test modules.
Use familiar files: work with CFG, BLF, ASC, CAN, XVP and CNP formats.
